Here's a proposed solution....

I'll add analog clocks to that list.  There was a story recently about schools removing analog clocks from rooms because the kids couldn't read them.

You should have seen the dimmer switch I removed from my convertible.  It was the most corroded thing I've ever seen.  It was almost completely broken in two.  The plastic plug was all melted as well.

Was there a red light on at the 75 MPH mark of your speedometer?
It should have went out when you went back to low beam, or the bulb might be burned out.

Yes.  And, thank goodness, the switch on the floor is working.
