I realize that most like to take the standard dash out and install a Rally dash. However, if you wanted to go back to original, is it difficult to reinstall the standard dash?

thanks!

If it were me I would build little adapter wires to convert the existing rally back to the connectors needed for the standard and keep the rally harness in-place. You also need to change some of the sensors since the standard does "idiot" lights vs the analog readings.

If you insist on this conversion. I would recommend that you remove the dash harness and sell with the Rally gauges,Then you can buy a new harness for the gauges you have. Harnesses are not cheap but after 50 years the old ones get hard, connectors corroded, even find splices sometimes. Wiring is the most important component on your car.

Very simple, disconnect the tach wire, tape up if you want.
The oil gauge goes to the idiot light, simple.
Change out the oil sender gauge on the engine, also simple.
Not sure why you'd bother removing the harness, with reproductions, I don't see much value in a 50yr original.
