electronic ignition became available on 340 cars during the 1971 model year - here's the proper mounting location

Very interested in seeing any members here that can verify their 340 71' had ECU.

Welcome, never too old  to take the plunge, main thing is you did. I pretty much did the same after the kids were on their own. Great bunch of people here and everyone is so willing to help. I have asked some pretty strange questions and Everyone was will to help.

Welcome to the site from Ontario,  and it's great to hear you're getting involved with your sons! You'll need the mounting bracket for the ECU if you put it back in the right spot. Somebody here likely has one, just ask.
