4 spd shifter plating advise

Is the shifter mechanism zinc plated or cadium silver plated

My understanding is they were cad silver through mid-70 then switch to black phosphate. I went with black phosphate for my 1 Apr 70 SPD car. Info on plating came from this guy, Scott Brockaw, former Hurst employee and current shifter restorer:
