440 Engine Longevity

Hello Guys. I was wondering about the longevity of a 440 engine -or an RB engine in general- before overhaul. Of course a lot of factors play into that, but I'm asking more about an owner that did his maintenance on a stock engine and drove it daily, like back in the day. How many miles could he gain from it

Typically properly serviced with good oil etc you could get 120k miles , the biggest problem was the Carb , they are poor at metering fuel & with extra fuel washing oil off of the cylinder walls the wear was more rapid , today with EFI you can usually triple the milage with no significant cyl wear
