And one more time....   Hayden 2797 clutch, it's short & it drives the fan at a higher percentage, both faster and longer... Hayden lists it as a severe-duty thermal...

I added the 7 blade fan, shroud and clutch fan from Mancini to 505 stroker and it never gets about 190.  I would also recommend considering the high volume water pump and a 180 tstat.

One other question, should I look at changing the water pump as well while I'm at it. It is a newly rebuild 8 blade original pump and my thinking is because it works fine and the car keeps cool while moving it should be fine correct? Only issue is at idle. I do not want to replcae parts unnecessary though.

I've got an unbranded aluminum radiator and a 413 block, but I found the Hayden 2947 clutch to be the right height with the shroud I have. Everything else put too much of the fan inside the shroud. I have a 2707 clutch sitting at my house that I never got around to returning to Summit.

What fan blade are you running? Are there any specific recommended blades to use with the heavy duty Haydens. I'm assuming it will be an 18" 7 blade?

I've got an unbranded aluminum radiator and a 413 block, but I found the Hayden 2947 clutch to be the right height with the shroud I have. Everything else put too much of the fan inside the shroud. I have a 2707 clutch sitting at my house that I never got around to returning to Summit.

Might want to check the clutch again... The 2900 series part numbers are mostly designed for reverse rotation.... Also Hayden doesn't list a 2947 in their online catalog.... I'm guessing you meant 2747 which is commonly used on Mopar's... All the specs match up to the 2797 accept height, the 2797 is about 1/4" taller... The 2747 is a standard duty clutch & doesn't cool nearly as well as the 2797 which is a severe duty clutch....

So, for a third time 2797....  It's only been recently introduced, it was designed to fit our cars & it drives the fan at a higher % too help keep the engine cool...

Interesting, I wonder why the Hayden online catalog doesn't list it.... That one is super short....

Found it on their e-catalog.

Only one I could find that set my fan the right distance outside of the shroud.

I ended up using the stock clutch and fan (7) blade while getting rid of the electric fan - works extremely well and my motor is super cool. Thanks again Chryco and Wild for your valuable advice.
