Seeing what everyone is using as far as an aftermarket 22inch radiator for a small block and if you can use the stock fan shroud with it (would prefer to keep that). Of course not looking to break the bank but if needs to be done so be it. It's better than temp watching when going only 30 miles.

Does no one use and aftermarket radiator with a stock shroud?

My aftermarket 22 inch rad had 4 little "L" brackets welded to its sides for mounting a stock shroud. The shop that rebuilt the motor in 2011 did that. He was the one that recommended the shroud, I didn't have one until then. I'm going to bed now.

I used us radiator 4 years ago and have had no issues with cooling........https://usradiator.com/

I changed over to 26" and have a big block- but.....  was able to score an NOS Griffin direct fit for $249 on ebay- full price they seem a bit pricy

Fit is nice, waiting on a shroud but all the measurements looks good- everything else was in the right place

Double 1-1/4" core as apposed to more narrower tubes on most of the "economical" import radiators

I've got a Protek, 3 pass, crossflow unit in mine. Real popular with the oval track crowd, thus very reasonably priced. I think I paid around $100 ten year ago. However, they absolutely do not mount like stock and will require fabrication for both mounting in the car and mounting of the shroud. I used GM style rubber saddle mounts for the radiator. Fabbed steel struts with studs to hold the shroud. I like it but it might be too GM for some folks.
