I am needing to replace my gas tank for my 74 rallye Challenger. I like the idea of stainless steel just not sure if it's worth the cost or if I should go with a galvanized/zinc tank. Any help is appreciated. Also if there are any helpful tips on parts that I should replace, as this is an old tank and sending unit.
Thanks.

Call @MoparDave. He had great tanks and all parts to go with it.  Depending on the shape of your fuel system you could replace everything (tank, pad, straps, j-hooks, filler neck and grommet, fuel lines, add a return line, sending unit, fuel pump and filters) or some of it.  At a minimum, I would replace the tank, pad, straps. IMO stainless steel is the way to go.

Spectra , these cars are not driven year round & a Galva :bigthumb:nized tank will last a long time

Thanks for replies guys. I figured galvanized would be just fine, as my car is garage kept and not driven often. @MoparDave I sent you an email.

I would try stainless. These new fuel formulations wreak havoc.
