Is the firewall boot for the clutch rod tight around the rod? Asking because mine isn't, probably worn and is letting in engine heat into the cabin. If a new one is tight, I'll be getting a new one.

What's the simplest way to change out the boot? Undo the rod from the engine bay side or under the dash at the pedal?

Chryco Psycho

You need to pop the clip off , usually under hood is easier

Interior, fairly easy job and well worth it.

Working through my auto to manual transmission conversion. Just confirming what is above since the boot looks like it can be installed from the engine bay as well facing inward.

Is the clutch rod boot installed from the interior with the "boot" protruding into the engine bay?
