Converter Whine..... not MOPAR

Ok trans guru's..... '05 GMC Sierra 1500 ... shop's parts runner. In the last few days I've had an intermittent convert whine. Today it's full on whine. Tranny is shifting fine... put several miles on the truck today. Think I can just swap the converter out??

How many miles?  How's the fluid level and has there been any major outside temperature changes recently?

Fluid full, nice and red. This is trans #2..... we tend to run our chasers till the wheels fall off or something explodes..    So true miles...

Nothing in fluid you should get away with a convertor change and flush I would think. I'm not a pro especially on the new stuff though.

Yes, he went from 75* in Florida to however cold it is in Milwaukee. And he's blaming the whining on the converter!
