Cooling System Anode

Where have you guys installed your anode? I had mine in the radiator drain hole. I found that due to my own laziness I didn't change my coolant as often as I should have. The one time that I did change it, I made a mess all over the garage floor because it is impossible to get it out fast enough to prevent it splattering all over the place. So, as I said, lazy me left my coolant in. I've thought of the intake manifold, but I'm not sure if I want it there. It seems like it would impede coolant flow.
So who is installing theirs in a different location and what do you like or dislike about it? Thanks.
