We have the engine close to being ready to go in the car.  It is a 383 block with alternator and power steering and no AC.  What size belts do we need to buy?
Thanks

I'll be following this because I have the same issue, only a 70 440 with alternator and PS, no AC, and one of the two belts (I forget which one) comes in two different sizes. I'd like to see @MoparDave chime in if he carries them. I'd rather give him the business since he sponsors the forum.

Why are there 2 options for 383, 440 cars for power steering?
Federal vs Saginaw pumps?

@MoparDave Are the Quanta belts better than they have been in the past? I heard they stretch and are only really for show cars, not drivers.

MoparDave

Depends on what you want. But generally not for drivers.

I'm not sure if any of the sponsors carry them but Mancini Racing sells them date coded and very correct looking if anyone needs to go that route.  I'm happy with my purchase.

I've run them on all my cars, and customer's cars...you just need to stay on them, re-tighten when needed :alan2cents: if somebody has a plain looking alternative without grooves or cogs....I'm all ears
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

@MoparDave But the power steering 70 440 w/o AC. Two belt sizes. What am I not seeing here?

Federal vs Saginaw pump and pulley differences. You will need to measure for what you need.
