I have had this flex I am trying to identify that I believe is a B&M for a small block but I am not sure which one and if it is for a cast or forged crank.  Can anyone help?  It is a #1000116

this is what Ebay lists for that number  MOPAR 360 Balanced Flex Plate B&M Small Block 727 Auto Transmission Duster Dart

That is forged crank. The 360 ones have a scallop carved out of them. But to confirm are there any weights welded to the other side?

No there are no weights.  When turned a certain way the bolt holes line up with my factory plate but mine is a 340 with a forged crank.  Guess they are somehow different; maybe diameter?

That one will work with your 340. It also has the 11 or 10.5 inch convertor patterns as well so it covers everything. Same pattern for a 440, 383, 318 BTW.

:iagree: 100% Correct...

@RUNCHARGER so it is the same as this plate but just has an older part number?  I have had this plate for at least 10 years.
Definitely stronger than the stock plate?

I would say it is but you would have to call B&M to confirm for sure.

As has already been covered the part number shows as a 360 flex plate but that is 100% not a external balance flex plate.... If you can get B&M to respond it would be interesting to see what they have to say....

If you get someone who just looks up the part number they'll be sure it's for a 360... But if you can get someone who knows what they are looking at to look at it......

Well after 1.5 hours in a phone holding pattern with the Holley tech line last night the I reached who did seemingly spend some time looking came up with nothing;  he took my number but I am not holding by breath for a callback... maybe though.  Anyway in the meantime I found this listing that looks EXACTLY like the plate I have so I am probably going to run it.

Do I "need" it for my build...probably not but I have it catching dust.  I have a new OEM type replacement for the (aged) factory one but the new one is noticeably lighter than the original so I am thinking maybe it's wimpy?
