What are you guys doing for column shifter linkage, swapping to floor shift with cables?

Bolted my transmission to my engine, and the headers are right next to the bracket and in the path of the linkage.

Fortunately it's all sitting on a k-member and these problems are easy to see.

depending on the headers, the starter motor and shift linkage can be a tight fit.
there is no "one solution" for all headers I'm aware of.
lower collectors make more space, but scrape driveways.
higher ones offer more ground clearance, but make the linkage and starter motor a nightmare.
on more than one installation, we had to fabricate our own brackets for the shift mechanism using the OEM ones as a guide.
not only is R&R the starter motor a challenge, the heat can cause premature death of the starter.
from the angle of your picture, it looks like the shifter cross shaft sits just above the collector, and may fit, with some tweaking to the bracket(s).
don't forget about those transmission cooler lines, you want them clear of the headers, as well.

Its good you are seeing this while its out of the car but there could be more challenges ahead once the engine in the car (starter as pschlosser mentioned). If I had to do it over again, I would stick with factory exhaust manifolds, my header install (Dougs headers on 440) was a nightmare. I had to dent the header is no less than three different places (power steering box, torsion bar, steering coupling) and there is still very little clearance between the header and affected parts. I think one of the issues was the aftermarket 440 source heads. I should have paid more attention to some of the others who went through the process, but I guess there are those that had very few issues, depending on the make of the header, engine, and other factors. The extra performance always sounds good but then you wonder if its worth the extra frustration of the install and annoyance when other items need to be worked on. Good luck and let us know how the install progresses.

I have a 340/727 with floor shifter and Dougs headers. Every thing fits fine except for the steering lockout mechanism. The header is right in the path of the linkage. TTI makes a modified linkage for a reasonable price. As mentioned, the starter is a smaller starter but I didn't need the tiny starter. The trans cooler lines are real close to the header and not sure if that will be a problem or not.

Oh interesting...found it - https://www.ttiexhaust.com/Sheets/TSA_sheet_B7174TSA.pdf

Ah that needs room between headers and bracket which I don't have.  Looks like my headers are an inch closer to the trans.

Well I have never seen a modification bracket like that going over the headers . But if it works for some engine combinations awsome what a great idea .Best of luck
