Hi all. I have an old Edlebrock (LD340?) manifold from the late 80s that I don't think is all that great. I'm thinking of upgrading soon and not sure which I should consider. I think there is an Edlebrock performer or maybe a torquer manifold? I am also interested in some Weiand or others that might be worth looking into. I would think a modern intake would take advantage of 50 years of design and testing, but is that the case? Any thoughts on what to keep an eye out for?

I have a 340 stroked with a slightly hot cam, nothing crazy. I am looking for a fun streetable car with occasional track use. Probably a dual plane. It's got an Automatic and will have an 8 3/4 with 3.55 gears. Will upgrade the 14" tires probably to 17".

Airgap might be a bit better than the LD340, the other ones you are considering would be worse. If it were mine I'd just stick with the LD340. It might be old but it's still a great manifold.

I am running Eldebrock RPM Airgap with my 340 stroker. It is a dual plane good for low end at mid range. I think it is similar to what you already have so  you might be good to go already on the intake. Eldebrock claims the air gap design keeps the intake air temp lower but I still need to install an insulating gasket at the base of my Fitech EFI. It heats up the electronic after I shut down the hot engine and makes it difficult to start again on a hot engine. Try to port match the manifold with the intake ports of your heads and gasket. You did not say if you have stock heads or aftermarket heads. Head porting makes the most HP/Tq gain on an engine. Engine needs to breath better with the bigger displacement gain from the stroker kit. The manifold is just one part of it. BTW, I am also running TTI headers. What goes in must come out.

Awesome, thanks all. My heads are stock 340 heads with minimal work so far. I don't have a ton of cash to go all out so collect parts as they become available then will do the work later. Just kinda planning. I got Dougs Headers and TTI exhaust, so I should be good on the outflow side of things.
