I would talk with Schumacher. engine-swaps.com

That is his whole business and he's very knowledgeable.

Do you guys know the engine mount torque specifications? I've tried searching, but couldn't find. I should re-torque my current ones down for the time being until the new ones get here.

I ended up putting in a very nice original one, and then learned that Schumacher will start shipping again next week...

I'll change again in the Spring!

These are the Mity Mounts by Dynatech Engineering being sold by 440 source. You can also order direct from them. They worked but I had too add shims because of too much curvature in the brackets not sitting flush with the k frame pads.

If I have to do it over again, I will get a high quality stock rubber mounts from Roseville and add the Schumacher torque strap.

Funny, mine fit perfectly against the k-member pads

Any tips for a quick installation?

My thought is to get front end on jack stands. Then remove bolts completely. Lift engine up with floor jack an inch or two. Slip new Mags in and call it done. Am I missing anything? 30 min job?

Bump! Was wondering if the process above sounds right, or is it more involved?

May be after putting car on jack stands then support the engine first but not jacking it up yet. Loosening the bolts first but not removed. Then remove the bolts to k-frame, remove bolts at engine. Jack up engine and remove mounts.

Bolt mounts to mounting brackets and torque to spec. Bolt bracket and mount assembly to engine then lower engine so that engine mount is on k-frame. Tighten and torque all bolts.

Caution. I have not done it this way, just thinking through the steps. I did mine with the engine and k-frame off the car.

Yep, that's kind what I'm thinking. It's a must to have the front end on two jack stands to be able to get room to work. Then like you said, place jack/wood on oil pan to "support" it, don't lift yet. Then loosen. Then remove the bolts in the order that you listed, and jack up motor enough to gain clearance to swap them out.

Was just wondering if anything else needs to be listened or needs clearance...fan, transmission, etc.

Hopefully it's a 30 minutes job!

Ya I would watch the fan and distributor cap. :alan2cents:

:iagree:  the headers/exhaust should be ok but something to also watch. You don't need to go crazy raising up the engine, just a little is all you need.

Radiator hoses should have enough "give" too?

yes the radiator hoses are fine. you don't need to take them or really anything off. Well maybe disconnect the battery .. it is easier with p/s pump out but you don't have too! just did a set on my 340 a few days ago.  bought from mancini racing!
