This intake, was on my shelf. I was cleaning it up, to put on my engine, when I discovered this crack. What do you guys think, is it usable? I have another one, but this is the one that I would prefer to use.

It is not a serious crack yet anyway . I would open the crack up a little & fill it with JB weld , if it fails you will know !

Can you get a wider shot so we can see where the crack is exactly ? Thanks.

Yes, this should help with the location, thanks.

Did you drop it again?   :bricks:
The damage would've been a lot worse, if someone's new shaker scoop hadn't of broken the fall...

I've had two Street Hemi intakes welded up in the past, one was cracked in the same area as yours. I'd say its salvageable. I can't comment on the cost since in both of my cases, I had two talented brothers of mine volunteer to TIG them for me.

If you opt for welding, contact Drake Welding in Campbell.
They did a cast iron manifold for me once and it came out great.

I would not worry about it in that area too much. Not really subject to any vacuum or pressure or fluids.

I agree, but I had it welded anyway. Good thing, it's on the inside! Thank you all, for your input!
