Needed 383 short block or Machine Shop in Nor Cal

May be order a short block or even a built crate engine and have a local shop to swap and install. I had IMM Engines build my 416 stroker but they are in SCal. Cost me $650 or so to ship back to NCal. Brian built a nice crate and use an engine cart to support the engine within the crate. I think his prices are reasonable.

I am not aware of any good mopar specific machine shops in northern cal. I was trying to find some but never had any luk. I am sure they are out there, but you have to find them. I'm in Sacramento and used Perl Performance. They don't specialize in mopar but they are knowledgable. There was another in town as well that people seem to trust. But Sacramento is a bit of a drive from Livermore.

Unfortunately many of the older guys are gone. Sometimes the shops still exist but the ones I have looked at all had bad reviews saying things went down hill after they changed owners. So recomendations would be important. Mopar Alley is a mopar club out in that general area. You might want to contact them.
