Is he not including the carb with it?  What's the point of dyno tuning if you switch carbs?

RUNCHARGER

I was digging it until the 906 heads. I guess the value completely depends on the reputation of the builder. Myself I could spend the same or a bit more money for 500 inches and better heads.

:alan2cents:  It's not a " horrible" deal., fair as the seller/builders time has to be worth something, but....  I have about that into my 451 but I KNOW what's inside, Mopar Stage 6 aluminum heads ,451 stroker kit with a new lightweight forged crank, h-beam rods, Ross pistons ,Holley street dominator intake , hyd roller lunati cam, 850 Quick fuel carb, etc.... but I did a lot of the work myself. I guess it all depends if you know/can trust this guy?
I'd say if you took/had the time you could build a better combo yourself and have the satisfaction of doing it yourself and knowing for sure what you have inside. Also like Runcharger said you could also build a different CID combo for the same money, but I love how quick my 451 revs.

303 Mopar

Ridge Reamer is a fairly well know local engine builder, does many Mopar engines and builds several race engines for Bandimere 1/4 mile cars. However, they are pricey which is standard for a quality builder.

You may be able to negotiate the pricey or at least ask them to include a carb.

Chryco Psycho

I agree with above , 906 / open chamber production heads are about the last head I would use , cam would go too , rockers are soso , I would use better ,
Reasonable deal but I would change a lot if it was mine you would be close to 11k with better heads cam & rockers

Thanks guys.  I had the same thoughts with the heads and carb.

Ridge Reamer only did the machine work. The seller did the assembly work,  is how I read it.

I agree.

Kind of takes the name Ridge Reamer off of the motor.

Is the factory look imortant?  ie heads?  Build your own engine.  Buy  a 400 or 383, break it down, take it to a shop, have the rotating sent to that shop, I have Sidewinder heads.  All factory stuff bolts up and they are good to go when you get them.  A small hyd cam w factory valve gear.  EFI, less maintenance, less money, more power.

IMO the best thing about that engine is, it's broken in.
Sniper, 493/383, Firmfeel, RMS Streetlynx, Speedhut. Dana, 4 gear.
