I opened up the a833 I bought and the gears have some putting on them. It looks like the hard surfacing is coming off alittle in spots, like little pits. I'm assuming I need a new gear set?

Once it starts , it don't stop.  But depending how bad it is, you can sometime nurse it for a while  :wrenching:

Its just starting,  but I have the transmission apart now so I'll find a set of gears.

I couldn't find it on the Passon website.  :alan2cents:
Was curious how much $$ that would be.

It seems to me that's gears, synchros, bearings and I'm going by memory. It actually was a fair deal I think.

it is Not just 4 gears ,
you have input shaft & gear , Mainshaft is different also , complete countershaft cluster gear with the pin it rides on &  & the 3 gears on the mainshaft + 2 new syncros & 4 syncro rings , brgs too
