Is this triangle bracket with the TOP stamping installed on factory A/C cars? When I received the numbers matching 340 for my 72 Barracuda with factory air back from the rebuilder, it was installed. I couldn't figure out how to make it fit with the RV2 compressor, so I took it off, and the compressor fit without issue and the belts appear to line up. Am I missing something? I don't like having "extra" parts.

that looks to be part of the power steering brackets.

You are correct Cudajason. That explains why I couldn't make it work as an alternator bracket and why there was a gap on the power steering belt adjusting bolt.
I appreciate the help.
