Happy Holidays everyone, Trying to get back working on my 70 Challenger Have the steering box back from Firm Feel and my 383 engine is now done at the machine shop and is now a 452 stroker.Just wondering can you re use the old steering coupler? Or is it best to just get a new one. Thanks in advance.

I would lean towards rebuilding it. If the car has high mileage chances are it's going to have some wear. The coupler body itself will probably be ok to reuse and you'll just need a kit for it-

And for another 10 bucks I'd recommend adding this clamp as well-

Its pretty easy to disconnect and reconnect. The biggest issue is getting the pin in and out. I ended up using a new roll pin. It took me a bit to get it in and out, but not too bad. I don't know if the hole is actually tapered, but I was wondering as I had some issues. Maybe some one can confirm that it isn't.

I also recommend that additional clamp. It keeps things together much better. I may have stuffed it with too much grease and it kinda wants to come apart, but that clamp keeps everything together.
