I don't drive my car everyday of course. 485 ci Hemi.

I probably put 150-200 miles a month during the warm time of year.

Angie at Mopar Engine's West didn't put in Stellite  seats when she re-built the heads.

She said I didn't need them since my car wasn't going to be a daily driver.

I can go with that theory.

So mileage/hours wise, when should I be re thinking putting them in?

I'm not even really sure what that is?  :notsure:  You have hardened seats, right?  That should be plenty for what you drive.  :alan2cents:

It will take a while before the seats start to erode into the heads but not as long as you might think basically the exhaust vale will weld itself to the head everytime it closes & remove metal everytime it opens there may be additives that will help but I never do an engine without hard seats & have not for a very long time

Yes: I bought this truck from Az. It ran sort of okay but if revved up a bit like on the highway it would miss a bit. I pulled the valve covers and the exhaust valves were sitting up about 1/4 inch above the intakes. So the valve springs were not shutting the valves properly anymore, that was because the valves receded 1/4 inch into the heads. Easy fix throwing a spare set of 452's on and throwing the 906's away.

Oh yeah: I miss it. I needed the garage space when I bought my orange A-66 so I had to sell it. Anyway, I always install the hardened seats unless you are not going to drive the car.....
