Not sure I have the right terminology but took mine apart for cleaning etc and wanted to find o-ring kit and came across The Ram Man, he sells T/A combo units, I am going to see if he can rebuild mine so I keep my originals.

Anybody hear of or use him?

You'll find good and bad reviews of the ram man.  There are enough bad ones that I personally will stay clear.

I do have personal experience with Brake & Equipment Warehouse in Minnesota.  They are top notch and have rebuilt both my 171 master cylinder and my combination/metering valve.  Very reasonable pricing as well.  Ask for Brad in the machine shop.

Feel free to PM me.  I just had this work done and have some extra details to pass on if interested.

I bought a kit - well it was 3 kits to do the whole valve - from Muscle Car Research - I was happy with it. I recall getting one piece apart was tricky - and note mine is still pending installation so I don't know the end result yet but it all seemed to go together ok.

I tried several distribution blocks from Fine Line and they all leaked.
Purchased a used one, rebuilt it with the kit from Muscle Car Research and its been good.

Looking for the small rubber boots for mine. Hopefully someone chimes in here with a lead.

I ordered rebuild kits but the small brake line I cant seem to find so i am going to attempt to make one.

What is the correct Color for the flare nuts?

@Rbob where did you get your rebuild kits? Got a link?

They used to sell a tool to remove that oddball nut but I don't see it listed on their website anymore.  I bought one years ago but ended up giving it to B&E Warehouse.  Maybe MCR still has them?

I think he's looking for this one.  I wasn't able to find a source for that one of those other than used.

The pic I posted is the inner seal so no pic of the top hat seal, description says
"Our kit contains a new reproduction of the "top hat" seal"  but no pic of that seal.

Good that its only $12 for the kit.

I ordered the kit so I can post what it looks like.

Note that this valve uses a special 8-sided nut to seal the end of the valve. You can use a 20mm 12-point socket to install the nut without damaging the edges

@Rbob sure looks like it. At $12, I'll take that chance. Thank you!

It might be worth checking directly with MCR (Scott Hollenbeck).  I emailed him in Feb and he definitely did not have them.  It's possible he found a source since then ...

Mike Ross has been making these rubber boots for a bit now.  Only person in the US that makes them.
