Hi old CC.Com members, and new folks, E Bodies. Hello Cody, Hi Neil, I've been away a while... Hey, this is a weird one. Jus bought a Holley 750 HP mech secondary. After a shakedown run, sat for 2 days, noticed fuel stains on the manifold and the secondary bowl empty. Took carb off and sitting on workbench, next day, filled bowl to spec fuel level 1/3 up sightglass, after 3 hours see fuel puddling at secondary throttle plates. 1st call to Holley support, had me RR rear bowl and metering block and assure clean jet, air bleed, emulsion passages, pump passages, etc. he sent new m block and bowl gaskets.....retest, same. Next call, new guy, stumped, sent complete Quickfuel rebuild kit. An RR of the throttle plate found 5 base screws over tightened and one not seated, the base gasket corner secondary side impression faded, I thought that had to be the fault. Regasketed properly, still seeping after 3 hours, its only at the plate area, no higher, and it will drain the bowl in 2 days. Research, I saw 2 or 3 other forum instances, but there was no resolution. So... NE1 out there seen this weirdness??

Yeah...Yeah....I get it. If Holley doesn't know, who would? :dunno:

Brads70

tough to call without seeing it in person. Something is out of whack obviously?

Called Summit and they sent me a new one.... in one day! I like that company. Lets do this again!

Welcome , could be a bad / porous casting ..

erat340

Yes, I agree, porous or cracked. I could not find anything. Shipped it back today. Holley will inspect it. Good to converse again with ya Neil. In CC days, we always had differing ideas on solutions, but later on ,I found that you were always right.......darn it
