which brand thermostat

Im changing out my water pump housing and might as well change the radiator hoses and thermostat also.
I did some research and came across a skirted thermostat for 440.
Does a skirted thermo work better than a non skirted one?
What do you recomend for degree and brand?

Stant , you can get them from Rockauto I would get a 180*
