Morning all,
Removed all the AC components from engine and bay. Do the (2) pipes in the firewall need to be capped or plugged?
Does the engine now need a new fan pulley with (2) grooves, car has power steering.
Thanks

blown motor

I removed the ac in my 74 and did not cap the pipes, no problem.

Generally the whole pulley system changes without AC .
So you could create an Idler where the A/C compressor was or change the pullys so you have water pump,  alt , crank on one belt & crank , PS on a second belt

The alternator mounting is totally different...grab yourself an alternator bracket kit and a top fan pulley and you're all set, maybe a two groove lower pulley as well.

There's no such thing as the two groove fan pulley  :alan2cents:  let me rephrase, E-bodies never used a two groove fan pulley   :unbelievable:
