Hi, I finally got  my pertronix ignitor II this week so decide to install it today. Well even afther talking whit they're tech support, I told him that I have a 340 4 barrels etc.. and it doesn't fit. The distributor have been change. I had a look in the service manual and they say that there was a possibility of 2 distributors

Chrysler built 3438317

Prestolite built IBS-4015B

That's what I have

How do I know if my car suppose to have the IBS-4015B or the Chrysler 3438317?
I see a few IBS-4015C for sell and listed has for e-bodies what is the difference?  I don't see no IBS-4015B

Thank you

Judging by the tag in the picture you have the wrong distributor. It could be something early 60's 318. What year and model, engine/trans is your car originally?

Yes that want I found out while doing more search. It's a challenger 1970 340 4 barrels 4 speed. I look into the 1970 challenger and dart dealer service manual they say prestolite IBS -4015B (  Chrysler part number is 2875782) but Tonys parts telling me that's for a 1969 and should be looking for a prestolite 3438317?

For the 3438317 the Chrysler part # would it be IBS -4015C or ISB-4018 is see picture with both number on google?

Tonys is correct. The one that you need has a tag on it that says
CHRYSLER  3438317
IBS-4018, then the date code (example 23 0 for the 23rd week of 1970)
