I honestly dont know the answer to this question.  Is is best to have no paint under your header gasket? I am installing TTI headers and am painting the engine this week, should I keep the area under the header gasket in raw metal?  Thanks in advance.

It's best for it to be bare.

Not a deal breaker though.

Yup, never had an issue either way....  Some guys claim the paint acts as a sealer...
