I know I'm a little strange but that big ole ugly Gran Fury still looks better than those Twangs.

Allot of them really liked them.... Less room than the old Dodges but allot faster than anything Dodge had provided in years.... Oh.... In 1980 the were no Police Mustangs... CHP Began testing in 82 & Ford offered their first Police Pkg Mustangs in 83........

I know we are talking about 80's mustangs but towards the end of the 80's I was headed back to college and my car overheated in a very small town. I actually had a CHP officer pull over and give me a ride into town so I could get another lower rad hose. He had a large amount of bud on his center console as he just busted a guy minutes before. The CHP officer told me he really liked the LX Mustangs as they could go over 130mph in no time flat.

Gas shortages make prices sky rocket in 1979.
1979 brought about yet another oil crisis and oil rose to $39.50 per barrel over the next year.

I was so naive back then. The rollers on the gas pump could only go up to 99 cents a gallon, so I thought that was as high as the price would go. Then they started charging 52 cents for a half gallon, then 54 cents. So I realized, I didn't know about this loop hole in my reasoning.    :bricks:

Not that old. This is about 20 years ago. An original 440, 4 speed, Air Grabber GTX I sold to Winnipeg. Sort of too bad I let this one go. I sold it to pick up my 71 FJ6, 4 Speed Road Runner. You can't keep them all.

This may be a repost. My First real muscle, 1967 GTX in 1976. 440, auto, PDB but MS.
