Spotted this 1971 Challenger convertible with R/T stripe on Columbo.  Had the trunk luggage rack, but also black interior?  Hopefully it will get some more air time.

Pretty interesting considering it was filmed in mid 71 & originally aired Oct 6 71....   But Chrysler didn't make any 71 Challenger R/T convertibles.....

Could be a 71 with stripes added or a 70 with 71 stripes tho

I may take watch again and take a closer look and see if I can see anything else that would suggest 1970.  He has the trunk open with luggage rack and then it pans to where I stopped it and then there is a brief shot inside where I could only see black interior.

Any difference between 70 and 71 luggage racks?

In the episode it was a golf pro that owned it.  There was a 71 GTO Judge in a later episode, probably season 2.  Also a light yellow 67 Imperial Convertible, I'd love that one.

I don't believe there si any difference between 70 & 71 luggage racks , I know there was a difference in the rubber tips used between Chrysler & GM

On second look the top of the seats are definitely 1970 so it a 1970 with 1971 stripe.  I'll add a video of the brief segment later.
