I picked up an A833 for my swap and before I get too far down the road I wanted to find out what it was from and post it in case the original car is still around.  If the car is still around I could be talked out of it.

Car is a a 70 model built in Hamtramck
Trans was built Dec 4, 1969 and is #141 for the day.

Can anyone tell me what it came out of?  It has a dual shift mount tail housing and currently has what looks to be an original E-body shifter on the rear mount.
Would be nice to know the first gear ratio, but I'm guessing it is a 2.66.

first I've heard of it - it was a Plymouth E-body - I've heard of the VIN before & after it

Thank you.  That is so cool that you have a record from the ones in front and behind.

23 spline.
Guy had it setting in his garage for 25-30 years.  Came with an engine he bought.  We pulled the side cover and besides the nasty oil, the gear teeth I can see all look great.  I have Passon's book hidden away somewhere and will clean the gunk out and get it ready to be put back to work.

is there a readable 3-digit paint stamp on it?

gzig5

not that is apparent.  it is fairly clean and has similar surface finish to your pic.  surface rust and overspray
