Whatever decision that the Carlisle events staff makes, I only hope that they do not wait until the last one or two weeks to go ahead with the event, reschedule or cancel the event.  I know that the scheduling will be very much driven by mandates pushed down by the PA governor and now that the states in the Northeast have agreed to work together on opening things up, it will only make it more difficult for everyone to reach a decision.

I personally feel that attendance could be down by more than a third.  With possible limited flights, travel bans for the international flights, poor exchange rates for the global dollar, aging demographics who are the most vulnerable to the virus and regulations that the event will have to comply to will severely impact the show.

I know that we are seriously looking at how we will deal with the show in the event that it goes on or is rescheduled.  In talking with several of the other larger vendors of the reproduction parts, they are all in the same position of deciding what is best for them and their customers.

So like everyone else, we are in a wait and see mode.  Most importantly is that everyone stays safe and healthy.

It sounds like a lot of the States are already lifting the restrictions so maybe that's a good sign that the show will go on.

Pennsylvania has only recorded 1622 deaths which makes them about 15th in the world compared to deaths in other countries :alan2cents: They have a population of about 13 million.

Will also mean less parts to choose from which usually drives the price of the parts up as well possibly.

Less people mean's cheaper parts in the swap.

I could see some of the bigger vendors like Mega Parts, Vans, Tony's, R/T's etc... still going because that is a big part of their yearly income, however if there's "less people" in general, I think it will mean less vendors too....especially the companies that go more for the advertising then the income like the brake line guys or interior guys that don't bring a lot of inventory, only take orders....and a lot of the guys just selling parts to clean out their shop will likely stay home...As for prices, everybody will be broke by July, so they will either be holding out for top buck or having fire sales... :haha: :haha:

If it does go on I think numbers will be less than half. Anyone I've talked to about it from Ontario is not going.
