Has anyone else made their shop look a bit like a dealership back in the day?
If so, feel free to post some pics to inspire me!

I don't remember there being a Plymouth and Dodge dealership combined, seemed it was one of the other. Not to say you couldn't do it now though.

Would it not have been a Chrysler dealership that sold both Dodge and Plymouth products?

Canada was different with a smaller market & less dealers , I am try to remember what the Red Deer Dealer was , I know they sold Dodge , probably Chrysler too but possibly not Plymouth , It was Called  Northwest Motors but is was on Gates Ave on the south side

Yeah Chryco, I remember Northwest in Red Deer, and we used to buy at Varsity Chrysler in NW Calgary before they moved; it was a blue Chrysler dealership that sold Dodge products for sure; I can't remember if they sold Plymouth as well.

Millar Motors was built on the south hill in Red Deer in 1958 and became Southside Dodge Chrysler in 1971. My dealership now. Northwest was built on the south side of Southside, across the street, in 1962. Southside moved in 1986 and tore down the 28 year old store. Northwest sold to Go Auto who still operate out of the Gaetz & 32st store. I started at Southside in 1972 part time and full time in 77.

I went the the Red Deer Mopar show last summer in Aug as it was Always the best Mopar show in AB , I actually started it way back in the late 70s as we had a Mopar club with members in Both Edmonton & Calgary & it just made sense to drive the car 100 miles north or south & meet in Red Deer
Wow has that changed , it used to be at the Chrysler Warehouse or the Westerner Fairgrounds with a Big BBQ after the show & great cruising , it was a lot of fun !!
Now held in a High School parking lot , small BBQ on site for lunch , not a lot of cars , no vendors ..... a lot has changed in a decade since I left !!
I was following a white Viper I assumed was going to the show , he went into a neighborhood & pulled into his Garage  :bricks:

I would be interested in seeing any dealership that sold both Dodge and Plymouth.  I don't think any existed except maybe in a small town that could not support two separate dealerships.

Spruceland Chrysler Plymouth in Prince George took over the Dodge as well in the 70's. It would have been early 70's as Dad bought his 73 SE there. They started with Plymouth in 1964.

the REEDMAN dealership in Langhorne, PA (25 miles outside of Philadelphia) sold just about everything  :looney: 18 dealer franchises 1970
they got a pile of the '64 HEMI 440 Dodge hardtop street cars & I know of a '71 340 4-speed Plymouth 'cuda 'vert and '70 Chevrolet LS6 SS 'vert from there

Here are pictures of Canada's FIRST Chrysler dealership. In the first pic from the 20's you see from the sign they sold Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth. The second pic from the 80's and now a Chrysler Dodge dealer.
