decoded my 70 r/t and its comes up as 14" colsteel wheel with wire wheel covers

its confusing me, as cannot find any pictures with any challengers, with that option in 1970, trying to restore mine to factory

Very few of them had 15X7 rallyes from the factory, now about 90% do.

the above appears to be one of the "WIRE BASKET" aftermarket wheels (Apliance, Keystone, Western, etc.)

here is a set of factory MOPAR wire wheel covers

they were used throughout the '70s & there are a couple variations in construction but I believe the exterior appearance is the same  :takealook:

There were no E bodies that came with 15" wheel covers. The only wheel covers available were 14".

I stand corrected. Here is a road test done by Hot Rod Magazine with a 'cuda sporting 15" full wheel covers.
