When I first saw this advertised several years ago I had my doubts about how effective it would be and rather to use it or paint the bare metal suspension parts on my '70 'Cuda. I ended up buying some and have used it on various parts, while painting others,  during the restoration.  However, since my car still isn't drive able, I still didn't know how effective it would be.  So when I bought my new 2011 Chevy Silverado P/U I cleaned a spot on the driveshaft and applied some Rust Preventative Magic.  I would check it every 5K miles when I did an oil change and was impressed.  Today I did the 50K mile oil change and once again I saw no rust or corrosion to the spot I had applied while the surrounding area is covered in surface rust/corrosion. I might add that I live in Utah and with the snowy winters there is lots of salt applied to the roads.  The rest of the bare metal parts on my truck are all covered with rust.    While I have no intent on ever driving my Cuda during the winter, I still thought I'd pass along info on a product that does what it claims.  Anyway,  I thought I'd take a picture and share with the group so you can see the result for your own eyes.  BTW, I did not clean or wipe off this area before taking the pic.

NOTE: I'm not affiliated with ECS or the producers/sellers of Rust Preventative Magic in any way.

I've used it alot.

Evaporust the part, then clean off with lacquer thinner.

Then ECS the part.
