Found a birds nest

Peaked in on her a few days ago and she was still on the nest.  But it looked like she only had 2 eggs in it now.  I'm just trying to leave her alone for the time and hope the eggs hatch.

My brother said he saw her fly off the nest so he looked in today and there's still no baby birds.  Just 2 eggs.  She's back laying on them this evening, but it's looking like they might not hatch.     She's been sitting on them for at least 10 days that we know of and who knows how long before we found them.  They only take about 11 to 13 days to hatch so it's not looking good for them to hatch.

Tried to look at the nest but now the mommy bird will not leave the nest.  We walk up to within a few feet and she just hunkers down and sits as low as she can on the nest.  Before she would fly off the nest if we were about 10 feet from it.  So we hope she has a little baby or two.

We get the same thing on an eve board in our entryway.
We have had return tenants every yearfor about 15 years straight. I assume offspring coming back. It is right next to where we walk in. No more than 2 feet away which is suprising.

When I first saw this thread I thought 

BIRDS NEST SOUP
In a stockpot add cooking oil and boil the chicken stock then add in birds nest. Let it heat for 10 minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients and let it heat for another 10 minutes. Add in cornstarch roux to lightly thicken the soup and stir in the chicken meat, mushrooms and turn off the heat and let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

Found this bird nest today in the porch light, saw one fly out, hear sounds still.
Now to remember not to turn on the light .

No photo, but my brother just called and said he saw the bird fly off the nest so he went over and peeked in....  There's Little Baby Birdies in the nest!!!!

Next thing you know you'll be rescuing Racoons, Bears, or Deer.

All Kidding aside, i commend you on your rescue efforts.   

I probably would've done the same thing if I were in your shoes.

I've even rescued Spiders in the house and let them go outside.

They're  just lost Puppy dogs.
