About 11, 12 years ago I got a tat on my shoulder (Biker days ) about 3 inches long, 2 deep. It was $300.00 bucks. I would guess the tat above cost 8 to 10 thousand dollars, and many trips over a course of time.   :rebelflag"

Yes! I have a tat, one on the upper part of my left arm. My reason is more patriotic than anything, it depicts an American eagle sitting on a branch, showing the back part of the bird as its looking to one side. Size..... Oh about 6 1/2" by 3 1/2", a bit faded maybe. In 1970, just before Uncle Sam pointed his finger toward Vietnam, and my ship was getting ready leave, I decided to go to a tattoo shop, with a couple of buddies in San Diego. Picked out something that represented my country and my feelings toward said country. When my ship and I left in a westerly direction, the American Eagle left with me.
         GO NAVY............Thanks,   Al

Thank you "Roadman" for the kind words. Original post was for Gearhead Tats, I guess since my Sons and assorted friends call me "Gear head", then I guess it's a "Gear heads Tatoo". Let me see if my Mrs. will take a pic of it for you, that I can post. Remember, it's 47 years old, a bit faded but still recognizable as an Eagle. I thought of having it freshened up, but, naw it just wouldn't be the one that left with me. It's the only one I have, tells you where my feelings lie.   Thanks,   Al
