7E-Bodies

The first of my now NINE E Bodies was a pristine, gold, very basic 70 Challenger. I'm a bit biased towards them. I find them to be about as rare as U's, V's and even some R's...at least in my travels. Oh how I wish I'd saved mine. Who's got'em??

My 71bh is an a93 /6 3speed car.  Nothing to really look at though.

Like I said, not much to see.

And some deputy pictures.  These are the necessary parts.

Did you retain a picture of the fender tag?

yes it is.   And a rust red primer colored paint.   :barf:

I didn't paint it that way.  Odd that someone would put that stripe on a 71.  That's gotta be the worst stripe out there.

Do I see a scooped hood on that car?  What's the story there?

Good eye. A buddy of mine actually owned the car first. We were seniors in high school. I'd never even noticed a Challenger until then. After cruising with him on weekends I quickly fell in love with E Bodies as he quickly got bored with the slant and hungered for a V8. He had borrowed $300 from me to buy this hood and have it painted and was going to butcher it by "dropping in a 440". He also bought the mirrors and had them painted to match. He later found one in a 70 RT vert and sold me this for I think $800-$1000. It had 47k miles and a column shift auto.

Here is a pic of my Deputy right before the restoration.  It was missing the drivetrain when I bought.  I have turned it into a T/A tribute, I need to post pics of the restoration that is almost complete.

here's a '71 Deputy I had - GB2 "light blue metallic" exterior & L6B5 "blue" interior
318 - auto - A/C - tinted glass - power steering - console - AM radio - CA emissions (& I think full wheel covers)
the luggage rack was added & the 15" wheels/tires were "rollers"

June 1971 built & it had fender mounting studs & nuts like a '70 "TRANS AM" car  :takealook:
