This is one of the cans I just got. Looks like a press in lid but the bottom also has a smaller press in lid.

Cool can!  What does it say that it was for?

Can you post a relatively close pic of the seam that joins the body from top to bottom?  I used to work in the can industry and might be able to identify the company and type of machine that made it.

It was for waterless hand cleaner. I should have read the instructions, that explains it all.

@gzig5 Here you go.

Now you need to be on the lookout for the dispenser.

Thanks.  That's a simple folded seam that may or may not contain a glue or sealer.  Not surprising considering it was probably a low volume product.  Don't see any indication in the lithography of the company.  Often times they print the logo and the plant #.  This probably came from a little mom and pop company with semi-automatic machines doing small quantity runs of a few pallets or a truckload at a time.  Neat can.

That would be sweet but I expect it would be very hard to find.

I work in the can manufacturing industry and that's considered a 3 piece can.  The side is called a locked side seam.  It wouldn't hold any type of liquid because it would leak.  Only a welded side seam can would hold some type of liquid.
