I've heard rumors of roads in Montana or somewhere around there that had no speed limits ?
Any truth to that?

I've only heard of Texas that there is a hiway that's 85mph somewhere in the back country but if there is a no limited road I think they'll be a road trip in my near future

Montana and Wyoming if you see a policeman before going on a long strait away just ask him if ok to open it up.......usually they will tell you go for it.......heck what can you hit if you go off the road?

I'm not aware of any public roads in the US with no speed limits.
I can say here in the Chicago area the expressways and tollways by and large have no speed limit enforced. Especially for motorcycles.  Scares me often in the warm weather seasons when I'll be cruising along at 70-75 in a 60 mph zone and a crazy biker or pack of crazy bikers on sport bikes comes flying by weaving in and out of traffic passing me like I'm standing still.  I'm surprised I haven't witnessed any killed yet, but know it's just a matter of time before I have the misfortune to witness a gory accident.
I can't recall ever seeing one pulled over yet either.
I got a warning ticket for speeding in 1992 but never have got a speeding ticket in my life.

Texas has 85 mph on a highway between Austin and New Mexico, driven on it. I think there maybe a few other highways that are 85 but all have some speed limit I believe.

Montana  was Awesome the signs said Reasonable & Prudent ,you could go as fast as you could handle , Not that I would Know  8)   :-X
It all ended in 99 something to do with federal funding being cut if they did not comply .
There was a site I used to reference it had all of the stats on it ... interestingly accidents tripled & deaths doubled on the interstates With speed limits so tell me speed kills & it is not about passive taxation . Since all the info has been removed oddly ... Not  :madashell:
