Sorry to hear... Toby-Girl was a good lookin girl.... Funny how their names often get add on's....   Our girl Tia was often referred to as Tia Pet......  Or since we had Tok & Tia we would call them Big T & little T....

Here's some good news for a change. A while back I posted on a eval I did on an elderly gents German Shepherd. Yesterday afternoon we had a little reunion between the foster and his original dad. The connection was immediate! I assure all of good or bad, dogs remember! This was a very heart warming afternoon.

Yes that is for sure:

My dog Modi is also known as Mo, MoMo, MoJo, Modi Mo-tin-sin, and the Blue Eye of Doom

That pic is heartwarming.  Really says it all when it comes to our furry friends!

We first adopted a shelter cat named Rita
Then we rescued our shelter dog Ralphie
Now they are the best of friends!
Animals are phenomenal family members

Just read this today and what a great topic. So many spot on points. I've had dogs all my life and you really do miss them like family when they go. I've known good cats and bad cats but not sure I've ever seen a bad dog. There are a few rare examples of course but those are always the horribly neglected and abused ones.

I think you can really judge a human being by how they treat animals. More than any animal I can think of, dogs really do love unconditionally. Seeing someone mistreat a dog who still loves them no matter what shows me what a diseased soul they possess.

Be careful with large bones specially if they have been cooked.

My dog swallowed a large pig knuckle.  So off to the vet since I was worried that he might bloat.  The X ray showed the bone in his stomach but it was not blocking anything.  Since the bone was not cooked they said it would break down in a few days.  If it had been cooked they might have had to do surgery.

So be careful  :slapme5:
