Mechanical things that lived past their life expectancy

Not really mechanical, but I've had my LG slider phone for almost 20 years now, lol. USB port went bad, so I have to switch out batteries and replace them after I charge them.

Lately getting a bit wonky, though. I push one touch screen button, and sometimes it will do ANYTHING except what you want it to.
It might show random screens that you did not want, or call people that you didn't want to talk to.

Then, it will work again, just like new.

My Century wire feed was awesome. I put 26 years of hard use on it and it was still running perfectly when I sold it last year to buy a bigger Lincoln. I'm not so sure the bigger Lincoln has any more snap to it either.

To funny.... My old Snap On welder was made by Century. I replaced the main board three times, once under warranty & twice out of my pocket..... When it failed the fourth time I found a guy who knew a way to bypass the bad circuit.... I gave it away & haven't missed it at all...  I picked up a used Hobart from a friends widow... I think of him every time I melt some wire...

Goldstar Microwave used almost everyday. Bought in the late 80's to 1990.

DaeWoo 13" color TV. Used almost everyday (by her) Bought in 1999.

Equity small Digital readout Alarm Clock. Bought in 1983.
Keeps time still next to bed but alarm died out this Winter.

Mr. Coffee machine went 15 year and died a few months ago.
Used everyday.

Wild: Maybe I got a good one. I didn't have a moments trouble with it. It was a 110 Volt 115 amp I believe. I bought it in 91. New Lincoln is 220 volt, 180 Amp but I am not expecting it to last as long. Hobarts are nice, I used one building Greg's car and I really liked it.

My dad bought a 63 Plymouth Savoy w the slant six new in 1963
He neglected the hell out of it, and the car kept going for 230k miles
I will miss both my dad and that Plymouth.

Glad you got lucky... Mine was like this one... Looked impressive.... Sometimes it welded pretty well.... Sometimes not...

Have had this GE clock radio, Made in Singapore, for close to 40 years, gift from one of my younger brothers, still use everday.

My 40 plus year old, 'Made in U.S.A'  Potato peeler is still sharp as when it was new.

2001 Chevy van with 350 , 392,141 miles daily driver. Owned since 86,000 miles.
Changed the plugs for the first time at just under 300,000 miles.
Use Pennzoil full synthetic oil always and Lucas fuel treatment every fillup.

Up to 419,545 today, started driving a company truck a couple months ago so getting to 500,000 will now take a longer time.

My grandmother had an awful looking Oster blender when I was real young. Avacodo green and stainless. Was hideous. I inherited it. I wore its ass out. It finally quit. But it lived well over 40 years.

I had  a Sears Craftsman Leaf Blower ( also used it to blow light snow) that lasted 26 years before it gave up the ghost. Never put a penny into it just gas and oil and cleaned the air filter. Don't make them like that anymore..
