Rear interior panels look good on it. Were they originals to the car in good shape?

I'm pretty sure the guy we bought the car from (a member here) supplied a decent set of originals. :thinking:

You do great restorations Alan but this was more than a nut and bolt restoration. Were you able to reuse the front clip of this car? It looks like more than 60% of the car unibody was replaced. It will be interesting to see what it is bid to.

I would like to own that beautiful car. Wonder what it will go for? I'm not in at $160k.  :stop:

It was bought and restored under the belief it was, but that section of the buildsheet was missing and the original tag was missing too...In this picture the firewall is wearing original paint.

 It's amazing you saved it Alan. The only solid looking metal in the photos is the square tubing cross bracing in the door openings and the roll around cart underneath. It seems it would have been more cost effective just to find another 340 convertible with less rust to start with. Convertibles tend to be rust buckets unless they were not driven. Someday, I need to pull my convertible apart and I know there's problems but at least I have all the paperwork for it, including the original window sticker and that's all worth something.

 :unbelievable: Wow, that's about as close to my dream car as I have seen but that's a pretty humble starting point. Glad it was saved!! 8)  8)

He is selling it at the right location as Indy and Kissimmee are the two top Mecum auctions for Mopars. Love the car however, IMO a '71 340 Chally vert will not come close to $160k.

 So Alan, I have to ask. You did this car several years ago. If someone brought this car to you today in the condition you received it before, and knowing all the problem areas that needed repair,  what would be the cost in US dollars to bring it to this level of restoration? I'd hazard a guess at $105k.
