I joined in 1981 the year they formed and like Sheldon, put those decals on everything.
It was formed before that, I just dug out my stash of old newsletters, and the first "T/A-AAR S.I.A.C." newsletter, personally signed by Al Leggat, who started the club with Butch Swingle, is the October-November 1979 issue.  Within a couple years, the club had grown a lot, and the newsletter had morphed into a small magazine called All American Racer, edited by Jeff Johnson, and the club name had been shortened to SIAC.
After the club ended, Jeff Johnson kept the magazine going for a while but called Classic Chrysler Quarterly.

@7E-Bodies  Kevin, I didn't get any email from you, just your @tags. Did you maybe email Jeff Johnson using that address Terry gave you? If that's what you did and he doesn't have any you're welcome to mine. Would you want both or just the inside one? When I was looking for those decals I found my original registration form that was returned to me from Barry Washington too.

You're correct. That email went to Jeff. My bad. I'm primarily after one that could go on the inside of a replacement windshield. We'll see if he replies and what he has and I'll post back to this thread. I very much appreciate all the help.

I too was a member back in the  mid 80's.  I still have my wife's and my membership cards, and Barry sent my original application form to me for free ( thank you Barry).  Wouldve been nice to have some of the old window decals.  Thanks,  Al

It would be awesome to have a few of both the SIAC & CCOA stickers made up , I was a member as well & I know I had the stickers on my 68 Cuda & I only had that car for 1 year , I thought it was 78 but maybe it was 79 . I would be interested in a couple of stickers if someone gets them repopped. I knew John Vanka well decades ago also

I'd take a set or two as well.  They are really cool!

I wasn't around back then so I didn't get the chance to be a member.

@Chryco Psycho and @cuda hunter if I can obtain these, I'll make it my mission to get some duplicated. Family owns a shop that does this professionally.

Yup outside. That makes sense why I had it. I used the inside one for my windshield and had this one left over.
You could take a heat gun or hair dryer and carefully heat it and then carefully use a new single side razor blade and it should come right off. You may even have enough glue left to re-adhere, but I'd use a 3M spray adhesive just in case and that should do it. They used to use adhesive stickers here at the police reporting centre and I've got about a dozen on my old tool box. Easy peasy

I was a member also back in the day.  I have many of the magazines, but no other stickers or cards.
One is still hanging on to the inside of my windshield in good condition.  Great quality sticker.  If it was made in China it would have faded away long ago.

I was a SIAC member back in the day. It was the first car club group that I ever joined. I think it was '81 when I signed up. I went up and down the west coast attending events that SIAC was involved with. Then I got married and moved to Florida ... that was pretty much it for me and SIAC. I don't remember when it ceased to exist as an entity ... when about was that??
Cheers!

Tis' better to have owned classic Mopars and lost than to have never owned at all (apologies to Alfred Lord Tennyson)

I think SIAC ended in '86 or '87.
Looking through the old newsletters is always interesting. Seeing parts prices makes me wish I'd rented a warehouse and filled it up with parts I'd bought at dealers back then.  New 70 Challenger grilles for $135, red circle dodge dogfish hubcaps, your choice of aluminum or stainless steel, $36 each, etc.
In the classifieds, the cars for sale are interesting.  One issue had a hemi Challenger convertible, minor rust, $12,000 firm!

I loved that club. I still have a few things. One of them is a listing of the entire database of the members.
