Japanese Wagyu beef is $120 per lbs, higher or lower depends on cut. May be radioactive too.

:haha: :haha:   :haha: :haha: is all I can say.

My wife and I split half a beef with my son and his wife. Less than $400.00 butchered and wrapped.

One of the large meat distributors was hacked, so this is likely residual effect, very similar to the colonial pipeline attack. It should calm back down soon enough

The beef hack at the packing companies was on June 1st. This thread started May29th.  The prices were rising from a few months ago.  These prices have nothing to do with the current systems hack.
These prices are being raised due to inflation from the democrat president that was illegally put in place.  This isn't something that is just going to drop back down to cheap numbers again.
This is Liberalism.  Truly socialism but under another name.   The dems change names and meanings to push their narrative.
Wake up people, this isn't just how the system works, this is the system being manipulated by those in power.
No politics on this website, but this subject is directly associated with politics.  We will be seeing more of these prices rise on everything until we put a conservative back into office.  Mark my words.
I hunt Deer, Elk, Bear and Antelope every year.  These animals are what I replace my "beef" intake with.  keeping the cost of beef low for me as I only buy so much per year.  But this administration is also trying to take away my firepower of which is what I feed my family with.  Once my hunting rights are gone due to gun control I will be forced onto their system of over charging for my beef.

I am friends with several beef farmers.  They are freaking out.  This whole thing has them up in arms.  Not so much the hack, although I'm sure today I will get an ear full as these farmers are not happy with this administration.  Their entire livelihoods are in the balance right now.  Due to what?   Bad Anti American Politics.

World's largest meat processor JBS Foods hit by cyberattack

The world's largest meat supplier, JBS Foods, has been crippled by a cyberattack, the company announced, the latest hit to an already rattled supply chain that's sent food costs soaring at grocery stores and restaurants.

JBS said Monday evening that it shut its North American and Australian IT networks down after the company realized Sunday it had been hit by an attack.

"The company is not aware of any evidence at this time that any customer, supplier or employee data has been compromised or misused as a result of the situation," JBS said in a statement. "Resolution of the incident will take time, which may delay certain transactions with customers and suppliers."

The company has felt an immediate impact from the attack, halting all of its beef and lamb kills across Australia, according to industry site Beef Central. Bloomberg News reported that some shifts have also been canceled in the US and Canada, citing union officials.

It's unclear who carried out the cyberattack. JBS said its backup servers were not affected, and it's working with a response team to restore its systems as soon as possible.

The cyberattack comes just weeks after the operator of the biggest US oil pipeline was similarly paralyzed by a cyberattack orchestrated by the Russia-based criminal group DarkSide. That attack had a sweeping effect on Americans, sending gas prices soaring and spurring panic buying across the Southeast.

The attack on JBS threatens to further stifle an industry that's already struggling to keep up with demand. US prices of beef and chicken have soared in recent months amid shortages. It's unclear what kind of an impact the cyberattack will have on consumers.

JBS representatives did not immediately return The Post's request for more information.

JBS' Sao Paulo-based parent company recorded about $75 billion in sales in the first quarter of 2021, with US operations making up about half of that, according to company filings.

Pork and chicken has also gone up by 20%
Nothing to do with paying off the first hackers.  No way.  has to be unrelated.
Of which Circle back Jen has now blamed the cyber attacks on the corporations.

How does 20% increase on non beef products relate to this specific hack?  It doesn't.
These rising prices are the globalists scheme coming to fruition.

I may have only been alive for 45 years now, but I can notice patterns over my short life so far.
Being a construction worker I really see how these jerks in politics control our lives.
Every time a Dem gets in, the prices for everything goes up.  House sells decline, prices go up.
Currently though, house sales are strong as people are getting the hell out of democrat run cities across America.

Are we better off now than we were six months ago!!!!!

Looking at an inflation calculator over the last 30 years, it would appear the highest inflation rate in the last three decades was in 1990 at 5.9% under George HW Bush. The second highest annual increase in inflation was 1991 at 4.2% under George HW Bush. The third highest rate in 2008 at 3.8%, under George W Bush.  Similarly, over the last 5 years I have witnessed aluminum prices rise 60% and steel prices rise 160% under Donald J Trump.

I'm not seeing the same correlation between low inflation and low prices when comparing conservative or progressive presidents. Lets not even worry about reaching back into the times so many hold up as the golden years of prosperity that was post WW2 America.

Do politics impact us, of course they do. However, IMO, the bigger danger is falling into the conservative vs liberal blame game while those with the true power, the 1% income earners, manipulate their purchased politicians to further change laws to increase the fighting among the masses so we don't pay any attention to the continued deregulation of financial laws that allow them to further consolidate their power through the acquisition of even more money.

I definitely don't think this can be blamed solely on inflation and who is in office, especially when you are talking products like lumber. That is pretty clearly a supply and demand issue because of the pandemic. The gas "shortage" that wasn't actually a shortage was similar because morons that were panic buying caused the shortage and not the hack itself, causing supply to be low and demand to be high. Same thing with TP last year. In my part of the country it appears mask requirements are being lifted, restaurants are reopening, and employees are starting to commute to work again.

I hope that also means wood, tp, gas, and red meat goes back down because I can't think of a better way to spend a day than driving a Barracuda before sitting my wooden deck eating a steak before I hit the throne.
