Bullitt-

Replaced the 2-year old OE wiper blades on my 2017 Ram about 6-months ago with Bosh Evolution Beam style I ordered from Rockaouto at a decent price. They are shuddering & leaving a streak in the middle on the drivers side. I inspected this morning & the very middle is curled & hard.. These run around $15ea most places,  the Mopar blades are about the same or higher. This is the first time I can remember not getting at least a year or better out of a blade..    I use RainX and can usually stretch them more than a couple of years on my daily drivers that stay outside.

Does anyone have any good experience with Beam style blades that aren't terribly expensive?
Otherwise I will change to the conventional style I've had much better luck with.

NAPA blades are pretty good for the money and seem to last more than a year.

I'm actually about to take my RAM for a road trip and contemplated on replacing my wiper blades prior to leaving....they are good enough to keep on. But it will definitely be a NAPA blade!

$15 seems to be the going rate though!

I haven't noticed any modern blades that seem to be great for any length of time. They all seem to get streaks fairly quickly.

I have taken to using emory cloth  to smooth out some streak prone areas and extend life on them.

I put PIAA wiper blades on my F150 three years ago and was very impressed.  Not cheap but they are still working fine after three winters.  You treat the windscreen with the supplied stuff (probably silicon of some sort) and the watere sheets off so well at first you don't need to run the wipers.

I've had the best luck with RainX blades but nothing really ever lasts very long compared to the originals.

Call me strange, but I go back to the dealer for wiper blades, but I don't use them that much...

I did that and rather than getting the nice set like the ones that came on the truck I got a cheap looking after market generic set and they charge me $45.  :pullinghair:  I told them to take them off and dig mine out of the trash.

It's been roughly a year & thought some of ya'll might be interested to know what I ended up with. A buddy picked up a set of RainX Hybrid blades for $12 at Costco for me (Doesn't appear they carry them all the time). One year later they are holding up fine. The Hybrid is not a beam style but a conventional blade with a cover over it to kind of mimic the beam appearance.
Next time I will be shopping the RainX brand.

Please let us know how they hold up over time.

I finally ditched my conventional wipers for Trico beam blades back in the spring. They have a kind of air dam on them that pushes the blade into the glass harder at speed.  So far I'm impressed. We'll see how they do through the winter.

I've heard "silicon" wiper blades are the way to go, and intend to try them next time.  Looking online it seems that many manufacturers offer a silicon wiper but don't recall noticing them in the store displays.
