Looking for where you guys get your motor mounts. Bought some from our local Mopar sponsors and they are crap. Bent and crooked with lousy spot welds. I was looking at Schumacher but lots of money. Any advice as to where I can get "original" looking motor mounts with good insulation that look stock and perform well. At least look like they were put together with quality in mind.....

thanks

Schumacher wasn't available when I looked this year.  I saw the Mancini Mag mount and made a facsimile of it for $10 investment and some time.  If I hadn't made it, I would have bought the mag mount.
I still get movement due to the hole size in the K frame and diameter of the bolt, the mount moves on the frame.  So I will address that when time permits.  I would like to figure out a way to adapt a spool type mount.  These plates bonded to rubber are a disaster with even a mildly healthy motor.  For now a torque strap will be the belt and suspenders methodology until I get it up on the lift to play.

Is poly the way to go? Or stick with rubber?

Yes Schumacher engine mounts for 340 mopar are out probably until next spring. Thanks for the input....I ordered a set of the Mancini's cause the after markets I bought were very poor in quality.  I have in the past purchased high HP poly mounts and there great but don't look like anything stock...

I would Check with Dave AT Roseville or Mancini , you don't want rubber mounts for sure

Unfortunately, India is now the main manufacturer of engine mounts for many types of cars.

And yes, their QC/QA sucks.

@MoparDave  sold me a pair for my 340 and I LOVE them.  Most of the ones I see out there are crap.  But the set he sold me is super well made.  They were not cheap, but compared to the cheap crap on the market it was still a bargain.  This is not somewhere you want to cut corners.  Call or PM Dave.

I bought from Dave also. I haven't installed them yet but they look really good.

I'm a fan of the Mancini 'Mag Mount'

After breaking the drivers side std parts store mount in six months, i bought Mancini mount as well.   No problems !   It cant break as it has a bolt running thru it.

Only thing i would change with the Mancini Mag mount, is the side that the welded nut is on.   It is on the front of the car side, meaning the 4 1/2 inch bolt has to go thru from the backside.   It won't come out with the headers on, so if it breaks (but dont think it will) or if i want to remove to allow movement while installing something it cant without loosening the header.

But, that is a problem with all of the mounts that i know of.

The standard mounts are the same way, at least the ones I have bought.  Had the same problem with the bolt interfering with the header on driver side and had to loosen the header to get the mount out.  I modified the replacement mount by grinding the welds on the nut and flipping it over to the other side.  Now the long bolts go in from the front on both sides.  Easy to do and if you don't have a welder, any shop should tack weld that nut for nearly free, I would hope.  My version of the MightyMag with the nut on the other side.
