I tried to order replacement charcoal filters and the N95 prefilters yesterday from an on line supplier and was told they could not sell them now. Had some in stock but they could not sell them. I went to my local paint supplier yesterday to buy some prefilters. I had bought a new respirator from them on Thursday and there were 5 or 6  new respirators on the shelf then. All gone and I was told they could no longer get them from their supplier. Part number was removed from their order list. There were some N95 prefilters on the shelf so I bought some. Fortunately, I have 4 respirators, two with N99 filters and I have extra filters. I like to change my respirator a couple of times when painting to allow them to dry out. Fortunately, I ordered some filters a couple of weeks ago and got them. What are paint businesses going to do now? House painters use them as well. I guess they'll have to wait it out. NAPA had a couple of respirators on the shelf the other day. Maybe I'll see if they have them still. My grandson wants to help.

My 3M (P95 rated 07193) respirator only has about two hours use on it, but thankfully I had picked up 6 new with my last big ppg shop order. At $25/each, $150 is chump change compared to a gallon of BCCC. Glad now that I have them.

I have a fresh air pump style respirator, so all is well.  :alan2cents:

I'm about to pull the trigger on one of those from my ppg supplier. $800ish they said.

You'll have to let us know the brand and final cost of your fresh air supplied respirator. I have two high volume fans that put out about 1600cfm each for my shop which brings in outside air really well so my air turnover is once a minute in my shop. An air fed respirator is even better.

Hobbyair with the hood option is what I use.
