Copart Chicago South to be exact. There is a clean title Grand Cherokee SRT 8 (2012). This is a recovered theft. No driveline/coolers/bumpers/lights/ half the dash components gone  / certain glass been removed. Whats left of the hood and hatch are duct taped on. Who knows what other trinkets are missing. And whats been broken or defaced. Any one here wana take a stab at what it did??

I will guess $1500, and that would still be to much.  I would like to know were scrap is paying $2000 for an incomplete vehicle!

@ClarkWGrizwald  My diesel wrecker weights eleven thousand pounds, How can a car weigh twenty seven thousand pounds. the last car i took to the scales payed one hundred and eighty dollars. and was complete, incomplete vehicles pay less.

I think in Colorado we are 80 bucks for a complete car.  Can't even tow it down the mountains to the big city for that price. 

Whatever the thing goes for I bet it's too much.

I heard once that a lot of scrap steel goes to China. Scrap price in any given area likely reflects the cost of getting it to a port.

Wow I just scrapped out my 1986 G20 work van and got $350 for it. It was running and driving if that matters?

Since mustangs and Camaros weigh in around 3700 to 3800 and challengers at 4200....they are the fat girls of the pony cars.  I thought it was exaggerated enough to get a laugh. But honestly, if there was good interior, ecu, etc, perhaps the buyer could purchase at 2000 and sell off those part and scrap the chassis and clear a bit of money making the purchase feasible.

Allright guys here's the deaL THE WAY BIGS SEE'S IT, BTW , scrap in my area right now is $64 per ton. The shredders have no orders. China is sitting on over 600 million metric tons and their economy is in the shitter.

But let me digress......  Whe I saw thins truck, I'm looking at whats left/what will sell. Due to the theft I'm doubting any insurance quality body parts. So what do we have - a 6.4 rear and front carrier... that you may sell ... eventually......  And a few misc suspension parts and glass. Personally I think $750 would be all the money, I'm sure to another recycler in a different market maybe more. After fee's I'd still have over a grand in it brought to my door. Reality for me was just watch for the "entertainment value"

Ok so how can one justify $7400 ??? Two guys were on this hard and heavy - New Jersey vs Florida with a little from a bidder in Ohio.  My buy fee on that would be $575. Depending on the type of Copart member you are, the but fee goes as high as 20%. Plus internet fee  gate fee  and haul it to Florida (cause he was hi bid at the end) From Chicago I'll guess $800 range or more.

Now remember what I said in the beginning...... ?? .......................... CLEAN TITLE.. Some poor SOB is going to loose his, so this one can be rebuilt and back on the street.  This is the ONLY way the numbers make any sense..........
